Who we are

Ten 11 Cafe (“we”, “our”) operates the website at ten11cafe.co.ug. This page explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it. If you have any questions, email us at admin@ten11cafe.co.ug.

What we collect

We try to collect as little as possible. The site has no analytics or advertising today. The only data we currently store is:

  • Feedback form submissions — if you fill out the feedback form, we store what you typed (and an email if you provide one).
  • Admin sign-in sessions — for staff logging into the admin dashboard, a secure session cookie is stored.

Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of data stored in your browser by a website. We group them into four categories so you can choose what's OK:

Strictly Necessary

Always active

Required for the site to function — sign-in sessions, security, and remembering you accepted this banner. Can't be turned off because the site wouldn't work without them.

Functional

Optional (off by default)

Would remember preferences like language or region for a smoother visit. We don't currently use any functional cookies — toggling this on simply records that you'd consent if we add them later.

Performance & Analytics

Optional (off by default)

Would help us understand how people use the site (which pages, which dishes, where visitors come from) so we can improve it. No personal data is collected. We don't currently use analytics — toggling this on records your consent for future analytics tools.

Marketing

Optional (off by default)

Would let us show you relevant promotions on social media platforms. We don't currently use marketing cookies — this is a placeholder for future use.

You can change your choices at any time via .

Who has access

Your data stays with us. We don't sell it. The only third party that ever sees it is our database provider (Supabase), which holds the data so we can read it back when you visit.

Your rights

Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, you can:

  • Ask what data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything wrong.
  • Ask us to delete it.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time.

Just email admin@ten11cafe.co.ug and we'll act on it within a reasonable time.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where relevant, re-prompt you for cookie consent.
